OUTSIDE SPACE

The Beach House is enviably located in the midst of the Gwithian Towans (Towans is an old Cornish word for dunes!) and has completely unbroken views of St Ives Bay. There is a generously sized terrace accessed through the sliding doors in the living room with plenty of room for outside dining, enjoying a cold one, soaking up the sun or perhaps just watching it set over St Ives.

The house also has a very large secure storage area for Paddle Boards, Surf Boards and all other beach paraphernalia as well as a very well located outside shower to hose off those sandy feet or children returning from the beach!

There is ample parking for 4 cars should it be needed. Two spaces right outside the front door, and two more, clearly signed just a few metres along the track.

GROUND FLOOR

There is a fully equipped kitchen and diner which has been carefully designed for the needs of a large group of guests. There are 2 x 6 ring hobs (Gas and electric – please use the electric one first as delivery of supplies is much simpler!) 2 double Miele Fan ovens, a built in Miele Microwave and an integrated steamer. There are a whole world of cooking vessels, 2 dishwashers, boiling water tap, waste disposal contained within the double sink as well as all the crockery, glasses and cutlery and utensils that you could ever need. There are 3 fridges, one tall fridge freezer and smaller fridges built into the island which is designed for 10 people to sit at once and to take advantage of the view.

LOWER GROUND FLOOR

From the living room, stairs lead down to the lower ground floor where our amazing bunk room can be found. There are 3 queen double bunks (sleeping up to 12 at a push!). Top or bottom the kids will love the choice. There are multiple fitted wardrobes for all. There is a large shower room as well as a well equipped utility room with multiple washing machines and tumble dryers, laundry baskets, iron and ironing board should you need!

There are sliding doors in the bunk room which lead outside into our underground storage area which is also accessible from outside the house (via a lockable gate and trapdoor) for the storage of surfboards, wetsuits and beach toys. (There are racks for surfboards)

UPSTAIRS

Again from the living room, a staircase gives access to a stunning mezzanine living room. Situated in the eaves of the house, a massive picture window is perfectly positioned. There are sofas here for 6 people at any one time, and deliberately nothing to distract from the stunning view. There are 2 Velux windows should you want the sound of the waves to accompany you. The mezzanine room also has our library of books which should have pretty much something for everyone. If you know how, it also has a secret…. Hidden within the book case is a secret door which gives access to the ensuite master bedroom. Something to please both young and old!

The master bedroom is built into the eaves of the house. It has a superbly crafted and bespoke double bed built into bedroom furniture again providing massive storage, a huge TV (with separate Sky TV should you want to watch your own thing) another library of books and a stunning ‘Juliet’ balcony Velux which gives amazing views over the golden sand below.

THE GROUNDS

The Beach House sits in a plot of over two acres including a meadow, surrounded by Cornish hedges on three sides and the Atlantic on the other. A gated private drive leads to the main house and parking for several cars, continuing on to the cottage. The drive is flanked by well-stocked herbaceous borders to create a natural boundary.

The grounds extend to mean high water giving the house very rare sea frontage. In the easternmost corner of the meadow a small terrace, fire pit and BBQ area trap the evening sun and take in the view. Storage, washing and drying facilities for surfboards, wet suits and other outdoor gear is provided on site. There is also a gym and games room at the front of the property for use all year round. In summer months, a source of entertainment for children are our tame Shetland ponies graze on the private meadow.

FIRST FLOOR

The first floor master bedroom with ensuite features a large private roof terrace, providing guests with stunning unbroken views across Perranuthnoe all the way to St. Michaels Mount and on to Mousehole in the distance. There are two further bedrooms, sharing a family bathroom and a wonderful “Bunk Room” with ensuite, for children or young adults, that sleeps up to 4 in trendy “attic” style accommodation.

GROUND FLOOR

The second master bedroom with en-suite is located on the ground floor and has been sensitively configured to be both wheelchair accessible and designed for other special needs.

The large open plan living / dining room has sliding glass bifold doors facing south to the Atlantic and opening up onto a large south facing sun and dining terrace. A large fully equipped kitchen with breakfast nook, reading room, WC and utility room designed for surfing, hiking and outdoor life complete the ground floor interior.

The meadows have been dog-proofed to ensure that canine guests have 2 acres to roam or run in without fear of escape. Fast Wifi is available in both houses and on the grounds. Sky TV, Apple TV, Netflix and Spotify are accessible throughout.

THE COTTAGE

A detached cottage that sleeps 4 is set behind the main house with views across fields to the sea. Set over two floors, there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen opening to the open-plan living / dining area. The cottage features its own private terrace and parking and is separated from the main house and grounds by a high hedge. The property also faces south-west.

CHILDREN’S LOFT ROOM

The wonderful “Bunk Room” with ensuite, for children or young adults, that sleeps up to 5 in trendy “attic” style accommodation.

THE VILLA

The main villa has a large designer kitchen and walk-in pantry, which is fully equipped with all the necessary crockery and kitchenware one would need during a stay. The dining-room has an abundance of natural light, with charming views into the garden and connects directly with the outdoor dining terrace. The spacious living-room, complete with fireplace and large TV, has been designed for absolute comfort and style.

The property offers five comfortable, spacious double-bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and one single bed maids room. In addition, there is the fabulous ‘Bunk Room’, a one-of-a-kind experience which features 6 queen sized bunk-beds. The Bunk Room is a fantastic and unique way to integrate groups of children or adults. It provides them with the ideal bonding experience, as well as creating a comfortable and modern environment that coincides with the rest of the house. The master bedroom includes a large dressing room and two private terraces overlooking the beautiful property. A further self-contained apartment conveniently located with separate access features living room, kitchenette and double bedroom with ensuite.

Additional entertainment areas come in the form of a large games room with pool table, table tennis table and TV area with adjoining deluxe movie theatre room. A fully equipped gym featuring cardio equipment, strength and conditioning machines, free weights and boxing bag is also located on site.

OUTSIDE AREAS

The beautiful manicured gardens give way to the heated infinity swimming pool, which is surrounded by comfortable sunbeds for those wanting to soak up the glorious Spanish sunshine. There is an amazing thatched pool-house, which is completed with a Teppenyaki cooking plate, pizza oven, built in WOK, a fridge/freezer, TV and music system – the ideal space for entertaining guests. In addition, the property offers a Jacuzzi, BBQ facilities, large trampoline, badminton net and rackets, and 4 adult mountain bikes & 4 children mountain bikes for exploring the area.

PRINCIPAL HOUSE

This, as the name suggests, is the primary residence, containing four bedrooms. The first floor accommodation level comprises two master bedrooms featuring king-sized beds with ensuite bathrooms, walk-in closets and great views out over Todi and a further twin-bed room with ensuite and a shower-bath).

This house has a full kitchen with breakfast table and contains fridge-freezer (integral ice/cold-water machine in fridge), gas-hob, electric multifunction oven, microwave and all cooking and eating utensils needed to prepare full meals. The lounge and dining-room are both beautifully decorated and are great places to entertain, or just relax away from the crowd. There is a separate toilet/washroom off the ground floor hallway as well as an additional bedroom for au pairs / travelling domestic staff and fully equipped laundry for guest use.

TOWER HOUSE

This three-storey, three-bed house sits between olive groves on one side and a beautiful formal garden on the other. The ground floor comprises a living room /dining room area, fully-equipped kitchen and guest WC.

The king bed master bedroom with ensuite sits atop the tower on the second floor and enjoys spectacular views across the Valley. A further queen bed with ensuite bathroom and spacious private roof terrace lies on the first floor with a kids bedroom on the mezzanine level.

Adjoining the Tower House and accessible both from within and externally, lies the fitness complex. This commercial grade facility contains 19 machines/stations, cardio equipment, free-weights, kettlebells and a full range of boxing & martial-arts equipment kit, aerobics and plyometric equipment. There is also a small yoga & aerobics/dance studio with barre bar and full-height mirror. Rounding off the complex is a sauna, steam room, shower room and separate toilet/washroom. The entire fitness area is for adults and correctly-supervised children only. No children under the age of 16 years are allowed to enter unsupervised and all usage and exercise is undertaken at guests own risk.

LIMONAIA

During the day and early evening, Limonaia often serves as the hub of the entire resort. The main dining room which can seat 20+ people, chef’s kitchen, extensive wine cellar and games room/lounge are all housed here. This single-storey villa has magnificent views out over the main pond. The games room contains a large TV, Guest computer and printer, pool table, fuss-ball table, board games and a selection of children’s toys.

For those bringing plenty of children-and-their-friends, or groups of friends who don’t mind sharing, the ‘Bunk Room’ offers six queen size beds in a very cool, fun, bunk-bed configuration. The Bunk Room has an internal ensuite shower and WC and extra WC attached. A king bedroom with ensuite rounds out the accommodation.

External terraces with coffee tables, loungers and private jacuzzi, courtyards and small lawned area complete the Limonaia building.

CASALETTO

Casaletto is an ideal spot for two couples, or single family with children. This single-storey villa has two double bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms, each containing a rainfall shower.
The lounge has comfortable seating in the main area and two daybeds secluded off to one side, with access to a small private terrace.

It also benefits from a shaded, covered patio at the entrance to the villa, which serves as a cool and relaxing spot out of the midday sun and for evening cocktails.
