This Cookie Policy explains how Samujana Ltd ("Samujana", "we", "our", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on samujana.com and our related digital services, including the Samujana AI Concierge. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owner. We also use similar technologies — including browser localStorage and sessionStorage, pixels, and tags — which we refer to collectively as "cookies" in this policy.
Cookies set by samujana.com are first-party cookies. Cookies set by other services we embed (such as analytics or video players) are third-party cookies, and their providers may use them under their own privacy policies.

- Preferences — remember choices you make to personalise your visit, such as language, region, or last-viewed villa. Optional.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve villa pages, experiences, and the AI Concierge. Optional.
- Marketing — used by us and our advertising partners to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and to show you relevant Samujana offers on other websites and social platforms. Optional.

4. AI Concierge and storage
Our AI Concierge chat is stored in your own browser using localStorage, not in a server account. This is a "strictly necessary" technology for the feature to work. Clearing your browser's site data — or using your browser's "Forget this site" option — removes that history. If you copy a conversation into an email or booking enquiry, that copy is held in our normal correspondence systems and is subject to our Privacy Policy.
5. Legal basis
We rely on your consent for analytics, marketing, and other non-essential cookies (PDPA in Thailand; GDPR / ePrivacy where applicable). Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website and on contract performance where you are making an enquiry or reservation.
6. How to manage your consent
You can change your cookie choices at any time:
- On samujana.com — use the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer to re-open the preferences panel and accept or reject each category.
- In your browser — you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, which we honour where technically possible.
- Opt out at the source — for Google Analytics, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. For Meta advertising, manage your preferences in your Facebook/Instagram ad settings.
Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site — including the booking enquiry form and the AI Concierge chat history — from working correctly.
7. International transfers
Some cookie providers (such as Google and Meta) process data outside Thailand, including in the United States and the European Union. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards — including standard contractual clauses — as required by applicable law.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as we add or remove tools. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision; material changes will be highlighted on the website where appropriate.
