The Samujana Estate represents the fulfillment of the vision of a group of professional people from the UK and Hong Kong who wanted to create an estate of luxury houses in a unique setting in Koh Samui Initially Samujana was intended as a small collection of individually owned and run villas, the development has evolved into being an integrated villa resort with some central facilities already built and more planned.

Samujana Company Limited is responsible for the management of the estate. A committee that represents interests of the owners and is run for the long-term benefit of the owners is at the helm.
Unlike many other developments, it is not owned or controlled by international property or resort groups. We believe this helps to give the estate its unique character.
Initial construction began in 2002. Samui builder’s firm ‘International Project services’ (IPS) and ‘PJC Wood’ built the initial 19 Samujana villas in Phase 1, and a further 8 new villas were completed at end of 2015 for Phase 2.
Gary Fell of Gfab Architects has carefully designed Samujana. Gary has been conscientious and largely preserved the incredible site, by building Samujana villas around the existing natural topography of the site. As a result of his award-winning architecture, several villas have mature trees and rock formations incorporated either into the living areas, the gardens or the pools. This gives the villas individuality rarely found in developments of this size and in this location.
